FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS FROM OUR CANADIAN CUSTOMERS:
"Do I have to pay sales tax twice or when do I have to pay my sales tax?"
-When the customer is from Canada and is purchasing a vehicle from Lenz Truck Center there is no sales tax charged. The customer is tax exempt as far as the United States and Wisconsin are concerned. The customer only pays Lenz for the truck plus any service or shipping fees (is applicable).
"Can I have my truck shipped?"
-Yes, most people have their truck shipped to the border. Lenz can give you a quote on shipping cost. Lenz can also arrange the shipping for you. Once the truck arrives at the border (via a shipping company hired by Lenz) the Canadian Customer comes into the United States and pickes up the truck and drives it through the Import/Export Border Crossing into Canada.
"How do I come and pick up my truck and drive it back to Canada?"
-Some customers fly into the Milwaukee Wisconsin (General Mitchell Airport). If you ask for a flight to Appleton Wisconsin with a lay over in Milwaukee (then just skip the flight from Milwaukee to Appleton) it is a little cheaper then flying directly into Milwaukee (don't know why....just usually is). Our dealership is about 1 hour north of the Milwaukee Airport. You could take a one way rental from the airport (Hertz or Enterprise) and we can return in to the Fond du Lac Hertz or Enterprise store. Sometimes we can even have the truck waiting at the Milwaukee Airport for you.
